I expect most of it has already by said by the others, but watching DW was absolutely fab!! A massive well done to Kat and Gilly of course, there were times when I felt cold in the night watching those portages but then thought, if I feel this cold, those two must be absolutely freezing! A real team those two are; Kat looked a little worried when she turned round after getting off the Thames and couldn't see Gilly straight away, in fact she was just on the other side of her! And going back to about one hour before their start, Kat came up to us and said, 'You looked very tired' and I was just thinking they're the ones who are about to do the 125mile race, so they're the ones who will be tired-not us!! But by the end, they still looked as happy and first thing after getting off was a huge hug between the two of them.
Thanks Mick for driving for about 30 hours for us to watch the race, and Beth for map-reading for the same amount of time, and Sarah provided the laughs and the jokes, of which there were many! Brilliant weekend and I'm sure we will be watching it again next year; so that means we need Kat & Gilly to race again as well...
